Frequently Asked Questions

1.  Can anyone buy plants at High Ranch Nursery?

High Ranch Nursery Inc. is a wholesale nursery, and does not offer service to the general public.  Our typical clientele include landscape contractors, designers, retail nurseries, and other contractors who regularly use plants to service their customers.   The second page of our cash application lists the required documentation for establishing a customer account.

2.  If I am an established customer, can my clients come to High Ranch to look at plants?

You are welcome to BRING your clients with you to show them plants, but for liability reasons, your clients may NOT tour the nursery without you.

3.  What's the difference between a "wholesale cash application" and a "wholesale credit applicaiton"?

A wholesale cash application establishes qualified businesses with a wholesale account to purchase from High Ranch Nursery using cash, charge card, or check (after the first purchase).  It is a simple application that must be completed in order to purchase from us.

A wholesale credit application is an application that may be completed to obtain a credit account with us that has 30-day terms.  Like any other application for credit, it takes some time to verify information, check references etc.  In the meantime, businesses may purchase from us on a cash basis.

4.   What is RPM?

RPM stands for Root Production Method, and refers to a patented process by which we grow some of our plants.  The RPM process includes a series of root pruning techniques designed to stimulate lateral root branching.  These lateral roots produce more feeder roots allowing for better absorption of oxygen, water, and vital nutrients.  It has been proven that plants grown using this process grow faster, experience less transplant stress, and have higher survivability rate.  Look for the orange RPM tags on our stock!  Click here for more information regarding the RPM process and its history.
